Moving in Flemish Brabant
Flemish Brabant is the only one of our three areas cut in two by our price list, and that is worth knowing before you compare quotes.
The Halle-Vilvoorde district, the ring around Brussels, is inside the BHV area: that is the lower minimum package. The Leuven district is outside it: that is the provincial one. A municipality like Zaventem falls under the first, Leuven under the second.
What a move in Flemish Brabant costs
- Halle-Vilvoorde 420 € excluding VAT minimum package, the ring is inside the BHV area
- Leuven district 520 € excluding VAT minimum package, outside the BHV area
In both cases the package covers the van and two movers for three hours, and the next team hour costs 90 € excluding VAT. The calculator applies the split automatically from the postcode.

In Dutch as well as French
We work in both languages, which matters most for municipal paperwork: a request for a parking space goes to a Dutch-speaking administration, with its own forms and lead times.
The ring, at Brussels rates
Dilbeek, Zaventem, Vilvoorde, Grimbergen, Beersel, Sint-Pieters-Leeuw and the rest of Halle-Vilvoorde are inside the BHV area: the package there is the same as in Brussels. Many movers nonetheless apply a provincial rate.
Leuven and its calendar
Removals there partly follow the academic year, with very busy weeks at the end of the summer. Dates go faster than elsewhere: book as soon as yours is settled.
Recent buildings, narrow stairs all the same
A recent building is no guarantee: stairwells calculated to the centimetre and small lift cars. The rule does not change, furniture lift as standard from the second floor.
The question that comes up most
- Knowing which side of the price boundary your address is on. The rule is simple: postcodes 1500 to 1999 are inside the BHV area, those of the Leuven district are not.
- A single address outside the area tips the whole move onto the provincial package: it is the complete journey that counts, not the average of the two.
- The calculator decides on its own as soon as you enter both postcodes, and it fills in the municipality for you.

Frequently asked questions
Is Zaventem at the Brussels rate?
Yes. Zaventem is in the Halle-Vilvoorde district and therefore inside the BHV area: the minimum package there is 420 € excluding VAT, as in the 19 Brussels municipalities. That holds for the whole ring around Brussels.
And Leuven?
Leuven is in the Leuven district, outside the BHV area: the minimum package there rises to 520 € excluding VAT. The hourly rate and the rest of the list are identical.
Do you file the parking request in Dutch?
Yes. The request goes to the municipality, in its own language, with its own form and its own lead time. We take care of it and pass the permit on at cost, with no handling fee.
A move from Leuven to Brussels, which package?
The provincial one, 520 € excluding VAT as a minimum: one address outside the BHV area is enough to tip the whole job. The reverse holds too, a Vilvoorde to Brussels move stays at 420 €.
