A ballpark figure, not yet your price
Four things can move it, and none of them can be guessed from a form:
- the actual volume, which the number of rooms does not tell;
- access, narrow street, parking, carrying, stairs;
- the furniture lift, whose duration is confirmed on site;
- oversized items, piano, safe, aquarium.
Only the signed quote counts.

The van and getting it there
A single flat charge per move, whatever its length. It varies depending on whether all your addresses lie inside the BHV area, Brussels, Halle and Vilvoorde, or one of them falls outside it.
The movers
Never fewer than two, and the calculator automatically adds the extra hands your situation calls for: one more from three rooms up, one more as soon as a furniture lift comes into play.
The furniture lift if needed
From the 2nd floor up it is included as a matter of course, lift or no lift. A building lift takes neither a wardrobe nor a corner sofa, and finding that out on the day costs half a day.
The materials you ask for
Boxes are counted per unit. Dismantling and reassembly are billed as time: they lengthen the job rather than adding a flat charge.
Parking, kept separate
We file the application with the municipality. The permit is passed on at cost, with no admin fee: the amount depends on the municipality, so it is not costed here.
VAT, stated upfront
21 %, the standard rate. Moving does not qualify for any reduced 6 % rate, whatever the age of the property. The estimate shows both amounts.
Questions about the estimate
Is the amount shown the final price?
No, and nobody can promise you one without having seen your rooms. It is an estimate worked out from what you enter, using the real rates we charge. It gives a reliable ballpark; the written quote, after a visit, gives the price.
Why is the breakdown not shown?
Because a figure on every line would give the illusion of an invoice while the volume has not yet been seen. The full price list, item by item, is published on the Prices page: nothing is hidden, it is simply in the right place.
How is the distance worked out?
From the postcodes you enter, offline, without any data leaving your browser. It is indicative and serves to place the journey: no item on the price list depends on mileage, only the BHV area affects the minimum package.
Can I add a stop between departure and destination?
Yes, the “Add an intermediate address” button adds as many as you need: a second load, a drop-off along the way, a drop-off at a relative. Every address counts towards the area and towards the furniture lift.
Is my data kept?
The calculation happens entirely in your browser: as long as you do not send the request, nothing leaves it. If you do send it, your request is handled in line with our privacy policy.
